Dr. Mohammed Amin Qattan holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Banking from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Economics from Imam University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has been working in the field of Islamic business since 1995 and is a member of the Sharia Supervisory Board in several Islamic companies in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. He was the founder and general manager of United Consultants Company, a private consulting firm in Kuwait. He currently serves as the Director of the Islamic Economics Unit at the Center for Excellence in Management, College of Business Administration, Kuwait University since 2003. He is a lecturer and instructor at various colleges and universities in Kuwait and Egypt.
Dr. Qattan holds several diplomas in the field of Islamic banking and finance both within and outside Kuwait for academic consultations. He has authored and presented numerous articles and books on Islamic economics, banking, and finance. He has participated in and attended numerous conference meetings, seminars, forums, and training courses on both national and international levels in Islamic economics and banking and financial services.
