Sheikh Abdulsattar Ali Al-Kattan is a Shariah advisor at Minhaj Advisory, and a member of the Shariah Supervisory Board at “Bank Al Baraka Syria”. He also serves as an arbitrator at the “International Islamic Arbitration and Reconciliation Center” in the UAE, and as a member of the Shariah Standards Committee affiliated with the “Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions” in Bahrain. Additionally, he holds membership in the Fatwa and Shari’ah Supervisory Board of several Arab companies and banks.
He previously held the position of Executive Director of Shariah Compliance and Legal Affairs at “Aayan Leasing and Investment Company” between 1999 and 2007. He also served as the Shari’ah Supervisor for the banking sector at “Kuwait Finance House” between 1995 and 1999, and as the Secretary of the Fatwa and Shariah Supervisory Board at the same company between 1993 and 1999.
Sheikh Abdulsattar Ali Al-Kattan obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Law in 1992 from “Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University”, and a Higher Diploma in Comparative Jurisprudence from “Kuwait University”.
